Convert WEBP to PNG
Convert WEBP images to PNG without losing quality or transparency.
Your data is never sent to any server.
The WEBP to PNG converter turns your WebP images into PNG without losing quality or transparency. It is the right conversion for logos, icons, screenshots and any image you plan to edit. It runs in your browser with no file limit.
When to choose PNG over JPG
- The image has transparency: logos, icons or cut-outs without a background. In JPG that background would turn white.
- You are going to edit it: PNG loses no quality when saved, so it withstands repeated edits.
- It has text or sharp edges: screenshots and graphics look clean in PNG, while JPG leaves smudges around letters and lines.
For photographs you only want to share, JPG is much lighter and a better choice.

One by one, all of them as a ZIP or, in Chrome and Edge, straight into a folder.
Frequently asked questions
Is transparency preserved?
Yes. PNG fully supports transparency, so the transparent backgrounds of the WebP stay transparent.
Why is the PNG so much larger than the WebP?
Because PNG loses no information when compressing, while WebP usually does. In exchange, the PNG can be edited and saved again as many times as you like without losing quality.
Do I lose quality when converting?
No. The PNG keeps exactly the pixels the WebP had, although it cannot recover what the WebP had already lost when it was compressed.
Does it work with animated WebP?
The first frame is converted, because a regular PNG does not support animation.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The whole process runs in your browser.
