Privacy policy

1. Data controller
The data controller is the Fast and Private project, available at fastandprivate.com.
Contact: contacto@fastandprivate.com
2. What data we collect
Fast and Private does not collect or store any personal data of its own. All tools process information directly in your browser. The data you enter (JSON, URLs, text, images, etc.) is never sent to any server of ours and is not recorded in any of our systems.
The web server hosting the site may automatically log standard technical information (IP address, browser, page visited, date and time) as part of system logs. This information is not used to identify you or for our own commercial purposes.
The only tool that connects to an outside service is the YouTube thumbnail downloader: the images load straight from YouTube's servers, so your browser sends them the video ID and your IP address, just as when you see that thumbnail on any other website. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy.
3. Data stored in your browser
Some tools store information in your own browser's storage. It is never sent to any server and we cannot access it:
- Your scores in the tests for clicks, reaction time and typing, to show you your best result when you come back.
- Temporary files from the tools that process batches of files, such as the HEIC to JPG converter. They are kept on disk while you work so you can convert batches of any size. They are deleted when you press “Remove all” or, after six hours, the next time you open the tool.
- What you type in two-way converters, such as text and Morse or hex and RGB, is kept in the page address, after the # sign, so you do not lose it when you switch direction. That part of the address is never sent to the server, but it stays in your browser history.
This data is essential for the tool to do what you ask, so it does not require your consent. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
4. Purpose and legal basis
We process only the technical data needed to serve the site's pages (legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f GDPR).
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction of processing. For any query, write to contacto@fastandprivate.com.
6. Complaints
If you believe the processing of your data does not comply with regulations, you may file a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Spain, that is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): www.aepd.es.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. Relevant changes will be noted on this page with the update date.
